Athonite iconography for prayer and chants It is worthy to eat, represents the half-figure of the Mother of God with the infant Christ in her arms, in the adoration of angels and the protection of God the Father. The crowned Mary and Jesus are given colorful spots of red, white, blue clothes on a solemn and sacred background of gold. Their images are unusually sweet, quiet and sublime. On the reverse side there is a mark of Athonite workshops. Wood, gesso, gilding, tempera. Dimensions: 35.5x26.5 cm.
