An exquisite piece of church utensils was created according to a sketch by the famous Russian artist and architect Sergei Ivanovich Vashkov (1879-1914), an outstanding master of Moscow Art Nouveau. The lamp was made by the supplier of His Imperial Majesty, the company P.I. Olovyanishnikov and sons in 1911. The first copy of the lamp was created as a gift to Her Imperial Majesty Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, which was published in the publication Religious Art, sheet 31 Collection of works of church and civil utensils, executed by T. P.I. Olovyanishnikov Sons Sergei Vashkov Moscow, Partnership A.A. Levenson, 1911 Materials: Brass, Green glass beads, blue glass insert. Dimensions: Length: 60 cm, Top diameter: 6.5 cm, Lamp diameter: 14 cm, Glass insert height: 5 cm, Glass insert diameter: 8 cm. Condition: In good condition, there are traces of use. The Olovyanishnikov and Sons company was founded in Yaroslavl in 1736 and specialized in the manufacture of bells and church utensils. Under the leadership of Ivan Porfiryevich Olovyanishnikov, the company achieved great success, winning awards at world exhibitions in New Orleans, Paris and Chicago. In 1901, Sergei Vashkov became the artistic director of the factory, thanks to whom the company was able to update the design of its products and win respect and recognition in church circles.
