Marochkin Alexei Antonovich (Ales Mara) (Minsk, Belarus)

Born March 10, 1940 in D. Papushina Cherikov district, Mogilev region. He served in the army. Married with a son and grandchildren. He graduated from the Vitebsk pedagogical Institute (1962), the Belarusian theatre and art Institute (1972).

Since 1975 (with a break) worked as a teacher. Since 1977 member of the Belarusian Union of artists (BUA). From 1990 to 1996 – head of the Department in the Belarusian Academy of arts (until 1991 – the Belarusian theatre and art Institute). He was the chief artist of the Art Fund of Ukraine (1982-1986).One of the founders of the artistic Association "Pahonia", the President (1990-1998). Awarded the medal of Francysk Skaryna (1992).Educated a generation of Belarusian artists, including N. Andrukovich, and K. Andrukhovich, Vladimir Gladkevich, A. Priest, A. Nikitin, V. Semenov, N. Shishlov and others.

The author of the monograph – Ales МARA: atmanagara. Mn., 2002. An activist of the Belarusian popular front "Adradzhenne" (included in the organizing Committee). The President of the international public Association "zhurtavannie light of Belarusians "Batskaushchyna" (2005).

Works are in National art Museum of Belarus, funds of BUA, the Mogilev regional art Museum. P. Maslennikova, the Museum of the history of religions in the city of Grenoble, the Museum of Belarusian culture in Hajnowka (Poland), the Belarusian Museum in the city of lemon (Germany). Iavliaetsia participant in plein air.
