POSSIBLY ENGLISH, SAMSON WERTHEIMER (1811-1892), LONDON, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY EXECUTED FROM A DESIGN BY VICTOR LOUIS (1731-1800) AND JEAN-LOUIS PRIEUR (1759-1795)
With a serpentine molded marble top above a flowerhead guilloche frieze centered by a braided female-mask with a vine wreath and hung with ribbon-tied berried laurel garlands, the angles with berried oak-leaf clasps above pierced acanthus-sheathed strapwork supports terminating in rosette paterae and joined by an inswept stretcher centered by a fluted plinth surmounted by a two-handled urn hung with oak-leaf swags issuing acorns, with pinecone finial and acanthus boss, on square-sectioned paneled tapering feet
32 ¾ in. (83 cm.) high, 49 in. (124.5 cm.) wide, 19 5/8 in. (50 cm.) deep
