Lobed oval form and standing on four shell feet boldly cast with acanthus, the handles and rim cast with flowers, shells, and foliate scrolls, the conforming cover with finial robustly modeled as a leafy stalk of cauliflower with a crawfish, applied to both sides of the body and cover with a coat-of-arms below a baron's coronet and flanked by supporters, the removable liner further engraved on the underside with identical arms, marked throughout with maker's mark and French control marks201/2 in. (52 cm.) long, over handles263 oz. 12 dwt. (8,198 gr.)
