Each plain oval on four scroll feet with scroll bracket handles and rococo terminals, the domed covers with corresponding handle, engraved on bodies with coat-of-arms and on covers with crest, marked underneath and in covers, the 1755 tureen engraved with No. 1 underneath and in cover and underneath with scratch weight 91:17

The arms are those of Glynne, for Sir Stephen Richard Glynne 8th Bt. (1780-1815), of Harwarden Castle, co. Flint. He was born posthumously and came of age in 1801, the year he commissioned his dinner service from Robert Sharp. He married Mary, daughter Richard Aldworth Neville, 2nd Lord Braybrooke, in 1806. They had three children, a son also named Stephen Richard, who succeeded his father as 9th baronet in 1815, a second son Henry who entered the church and a daughter Catherine (d.1900) who married the Rt. Hon William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898) M.P. for the University of Oxford in 1839 and Liberal Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on four occasions.
