De section ovale, le dormant sur quatre pieds en bourgeon, le bord repoussé de feuilles de laurier, le centre gravé de larges enroulements feuillagés et appliqué de deux médaillons enrubannés gravés d'un cimier sous couronne de vicomte, la soupière sur piédouche à bordure perlée, le corps uni appliqué de festons de laurier tenant des médaillons gravés du même cimier, les anses latérales tenues par une tête de bélier, la doublure amovible unie avec anses en enroulement, le couvercle à doucine gravé d'une frise d'enroulements et du même cimier deux fois, la prise détachable en forme de lion chevauché par un putto musicien, poinçons: titre,ville, lettre-date (b) et maître-orfèvre, le dormant gravé 'No1 55=0', la soupière 'No 1 114=4', la doublure 'No1 24=5' et le couvercle 'No 2'

Le cimier est celui de Lowther, pour William Lowther, 2nd Viscount Lowther, plus tard 1st Earl of Lonsdale (deuxième utilisation) (1757-1844). Il a été gravé entre 1802 et 1807 lorsque James Lowther succède à son cousin et devient Earl.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
