The square hako-netsuke with rounded corners, decorated to simulate the metal work by Yukinaga worked in polychrome hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with a hare looking at moon on a shibuichi-nuri ground, with incised bamboo and river, the sides and underside in brown lacquer with incised bamboo and rock; signed on underside
