Surmounted by Neptune seated within a scallop shell, held aloft by a pair of winged mermaids flanking a circular enamel dial, signed MONBRO FILS AINE / PARIS / Jacquiter Her, the clockcase cast with bulrush and reeds, on a pierced rocaille base centered with a trumpeting triton and putti astride hippocampi, the reverse twice stamped H. PICARD, the clockworks variously stamped with numbers363/4 in. (93.3 cm.) high, 32 in. (81.5 cm.) wide, 111/2 in. (29.2 cm.) deep
