The contemporary circular wood and leather travelling-case fitted with two green fabric-clad removable tiers, the upper tier fitted with an 18th century white-metal spoon, a Sèvres porcelain cabbage-leaf-moulded cup (gobelet ‘feuille de choux’) and a glass tapering faceted flask, stopper and screw-top white-metal cover, the flask nestling within the cup interior, encased by a green-fabric protective band, the second tier below with a Sèvres porcelain cabbage-leaf-moulded hexafoil saucer, a muslin release strap revealing a Sèvres porcelain bowl (grande jatte Hébert) concealed in the base of the case below; the Sèvres porcelain all painted in bleu camaïeu with scattered flower-sprays within gilt dentil rims, the case with a hinged lid and tooled geometric line decoration
The cup 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; the saucer 6 in. (15.1 cm.) wide; the bowl, 61/2 in. (16.5 cm.) diameter; the flask 43/8 in. (11 cm.) high overall; the spoon 43/4 in. (12.2 cm.) long and the case 71/4 in. (18.4 cm.) diameter
