Elongated oval, enamelled en plein in bleu lapis in imitation of lapis lazuli, the cover set with an oval plaque enamelled en grisaille with Cupid within husk border, the rim with Vitruvian scroll frieze, the sides with enamelled fluting interspersed with lozenges and chased husks on a matted ground, the underside of the same design as the cover with a grisaille medallion of a dancing nymph, with later green leather case, marked inside, in cover and on flange
