COMMISONED BY THE MARCHAND-MERCIER PHILIPPE-FRANÇOIS JULLIOT, CALLED JULLIOT FILS, ATTRIBUTED TO ADAM WEISWEILER, CIRCA 1780-1800, INCORPORATING LOUIS XIV ELEMENTS

The marquetry in contre-partie in pewter and copper, each with rectangular gray fossil marble top, above an acanthus-cast frieze concealing a spring-loaded drawer, the central door faced as three drawers veneered with amaranth to the interior, the sides of the façade with ormolu figures representing the four seasons after models by André-Charles Boulle, the corners inlaid with red-stained composition within pewter and brass frames, the plinth base with turned feet
