IN THE MANNER OF JUSTE-AURELE MEISSONNIER, CIRCA 1745-1749
Each with a deeply scrolling C-scroll and foliate shaft with seated ho-ho bird, issuing three scrolling branches terminating in foliate and fruiting drip-pans and foliate nozzles, on an asymmetrical C-scroll base formed of two sections, each candelabrum struck with the 'C' Couronné Poinçon, re-gilt, with traces of earlier mercury gilding, the separately-cast outer section of the bases probably added in the 19th century
