The base of the interior is cast with an inscription reading Bei Bo zuo X bao zun yi, which may be translated as 'Bei Bo made this precious ritual zun vessel.'
9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm. high), Japanese double wood box with inscriptions by Hata Zoruku II (1852-1932) and Tajiko Chikuson (1964-1922), and dated 1916, softwood stand
