A RARE CARVED YAOZHOU CELADON BOWL

NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY (AD 960-1234)

The bowl with deep, rounded sides are carved on the interior with a xiniu (rhinoceros) gazing up at the moon, and is covered overall with a soft olive-green glaze.
