A RARE PAIR OF 'BEVELLED' SASANIAN SILVER BOTTLES
IRAN, 6TH OR 7TH CENTURY
Each of bulbous form, with decoration in relief appearing as raised offset leaves extending from the top and base of the silver gilt body, the everted mouth with a gilded flat rim, the base with a silver gilt rosette in low relief and an aperture in the centre, one bottle with a pounced inscription around the mouth
