Comprising Qur'an I, sura al-fatiha, v.7 to Qur'an II, sura al-baqara, v.275, Arabic manuscript on parchment, 65ff. each with 9ll. sepia maghribi with notation in red ink, shadda and sukun in blue, hamza in green and orange, gold and polychrome roundel verse markers, the margins with gold illuminated medallions to mark divisions, one sura heading in gold kufic reserved against a cartouche within gold strapwork border with marginal pendant, in contemporaneous blind tooled brown leather binding, opening folio lacking, some loss to the edges of the pages
