A horizontal strip from a leaf, preserving a single column of 10 lines, in a good late Carolingian hand, ruled lightly with plummet; the text, an explanation of the Mass, discusses Communion and mentions Good Friday. Parts of the text are similar in content and vocabulary to works such as the Ps.-Isidore Expositio in Missa (Patrologia Latina, 83, 1148D), and Rabanus's De Ordine missae (Patrologia Latina, 112, 1185A) (recovered from use in a binding, the text on one side partly obscured, the other side in good condition).
Provenance: Colker MS 510; acquired in 2003 from Quaritch.

(ii) A fragment from a Medical treatise (about digestion) [England, 13th century].
c.87 × 80mm. Preserving a single column of 17 lines (some pigment lost on one face, remains of adhesive).
Provenance: Colker MS 342; acquired in 1985 from H.P. Kraus.

(iii) A leaf from a Bible [France, 13th century].
c.200 × 130mm. 2 columns of 57 lines, ruled in plummet with pricking on fore-edge, with pen-drawn initials and ornamental flourishes; text comprising Joshua 22:19–24:26 (small stains).
Provenance: (1) Otto F. Ege (Gwara, Otto Ege’s Manuscripts, 2013, HL60); (2) Colker MS 18; acquired in 1947 from P. Duschnes.

(iv) A document detailing an Accusation [Italy, 14th century].
c.115 × 220mm. An accusation against a certain Radulfus who stands on a street and collects daily, on his own authority, a toll from those who wish to cross the street.
Provenance: Colker MS 152; acquired in 1969 from Renzo Rizzi.

(v) An illuminated leaf from a Franciscan Calendar [Eastern France, Dijon?, 15th century].
c.169 × 120mm. A September leaf, ruled for 17 lines in plummet, in a gothic bookhand, with 5 illuminated initials, 1 on blue and purple grounds; includes entries for Sequanis, abbot of Dijon (19 Sep), and Andochius, Thyrsus, and Felix, of Dijon (24 Sep).
Provenance: Colker MS 71; acquired in 1965 from Roten.

(vi) A leaf from Livy, Ab Urbe Condita, [Italy], 1456.
c.250 × 180mm. 38 lines, blind-ruled, in a cursive humanist script in light brown ink; text comprising part of Book 7.
Provenance: (1) Parent manuscript with a colophon dated 1456 (see also Lot 150 (iii)); (2) Otto Ege (Gwara, Otto Ege’s Manuscripts, 2013, HL52); (2) Colker MS 486; acquired in 1998 from Maggs.
