A VERY RARE BRONZE RITUAL POURING VESSEL AND COVER, YI
LATE WESTERN-EARLY EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 8TH CENTURY BC
The base of the interior is cast with an inscription reading Qi wan nian zi sun yong bao yong, which may be translated 'May their descendants forever preserve and use (this vessel)'.
15 in. (38 cm.) wide, Japanese wood box inscribed by Hata Zoroku II (1852-1932), dated 1921
