Odysseus und Kalypso
Vor einer angedeuteten, mystisch im dämmrigen Morgennebel verschwimmenden Landschaft das auf der rechten Bildseite stehende, sich umarmende Paar, Kalypso als Rückenakt. Das in vorwiegend tonigem Kolorit gemalte, aber auch mit auch leuchtenden Farbakzenten angelegte, motiv- und stiltypische Gemälde gehört zu den symbolistischen Jugendstil-Gemälden des Schweizer Malers, durch die er bekannt wurde. Frey-Moock ging 1902 nach München, wo er seit 1904 an der Akademie bei Karl Raupp und Wilhelm von Diez studierte und 1904 Assistent von Franz von Stuck wurde. In seinen Werken stellte er oft Liebespaare, mythologische und bacchantische Szenen dar, stark beeinflusst sowohl durch Stuck als auch Arnold Böcklin. 1908 stellte er erstmals im Künstlerhaus in Zürich neben Théo van Rysselberghe, Ferdinand Hodler und Augusto Giacometti aus, seit 1909 in den Ausstellungen des neugegründeten "Deutschen Künstlerverbandes" in München, später des Münchener Künstlerbundes "Die Unabhängigen". In den 1930er Jahren lebte Frey-Moock in Nördlingen, dann wieder in München, bevor er (wohl 1939) in die Schweiz zurückkehrte. Öl/Lwd.; L. u. sign.; 61,5 cm x 83 cm. Original-Rahmen.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
