Paar Brustbildnisse zweier junger adeliger Damen mit Wappen
Gegenstücke. Kompositionen mit illusionistischem, ovalem Bildausschnitt, die repräsentativen Porträts in der niederländischen Mode der Zeit, den Kopf mit dunkelblondem, fein gelocktem, hinten hochgestecktem Haar im Halbprofil. Gewandet in ein schwarzes Kleid mit breitem, weißem, umgelegtem, teilw. durch Spitzen verziertem Kragen, der zu einer dekorativen Schleife geschlossen ist; korrespondierend darunter ein hochgeschlossenes Hemd mit Spitzenbordüren. Einer Familienüberlieferung zufolge soll es sich bei den Dargestellten um Mitglieder der Adelsfamilie van Aefferden bzw. von Aefferden handeln (u. a. in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg und am Niederrrhein ansässig). Komposition, Stil und Mode verweisen auf einen um 1650-1660 tätigen Maler aus dem Umkreis Adriaen Hannemans, der selbst wiederum bei Daniel Mijtens und wohl auch bei Anthony van Dyck lernte. Öl/Eichenholztafel. Verso zwei Klebezettel von 1937 und 1999 mit Angaben zu den mutmaßlichen Dargestellten und zur Provenienz. 71,5 cm x 59 cm. Rahmen.
Provenienz (laut der rücks. Klebezettel): Geschenk des späteren Kardinals Felix Kardinal von Hartmann (1851 - 1919) an Eugen von Kesseler (1832 - 1885 Köln); in Erbfolge an Friedrich (Fritz) von Kesseler, 1937 Haus Wittgenstein in Roisdorf bei Bonn, danach weiter im Besitz der Familie von Kesseler (bis nach 1999).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
