The alabaster vase with a carved egg-and-dart rim, the waisted body applied with ormolu mounts in the form of satyr and bacchic heads flanked by foliate-cast double handles, the whole applied with beeded and spiralling ribbon gilt-bronze rims throughout, the upper section of the base applied with rosettes and classical coins, the circular pedestal base applied with vine-festooned bacchus masks and allegorical figures, on a verde antico plinth; the alabaster sections with some restored breaks, some ormolu elements lacking between applied paterae
