Second edition of this treatise on the history on the Roman Empire, illustrated with numerous coins dating back to the period.

Folio (327 x 223mm). Title printed in red and black, numerous engravings of which many full-page, initials and woodcut headpieces (some slight foxing and browning). Modern vellum, manuscript title on spine, modern decorated paper case (binding detached from the text block). Provenance: Don Urbano Carretti Monaco of Vall'Ombrosano (inscription on the title page dated 1689).
