Öl auf Malpappe, links unten monogrammiert und datiert "AvW 1906.". Brustportrait in Frack mit weißem Hemd und Fliege sowie roter Weste, an der linken Brust trägt er den Bruststern als Großoffizier des französischen Ordens der Ehrenlegion. Leicht verkratzt. In schönem Stuckrahmen mit matter und polierter Vergoldung (kleine Fehlstellen), das Stuckornament in der rechten oberen Ecke leicht beschädigt (gelockert). Bildmaße 31,5 x 24 cm, Rahmenmaße 43 x 35 x 7 cm. Die Malpappe rückseitig handschriftlich bezeichnet "Unterstaatssekretär Dr. Richter", zudem ein maschinenschriftliches Etikett mit diesen Angaben sowie den Lebensdaten Anton von Werners. Publiziert im Ausstellungskatalog "Anton von Werner - Geschichte in Bildern", Seite 457, Nr. 1906-03. Dr. Max Richter (1856 - 1921), Unterstaatssekretär im Reichsamt des Innern. 1879 promovierte er in Königsberg in Rechtswissenschaften, arbeitete ab 1891 im Reichsamt des Innern und wurde u.a. 1892 und 1900 als Reichskommissar auf die Weltausstellungen nach Chicago und Paris entsandt. Dr. Richter war für viele Jahre Referent für Kaliangelegenheiten der Ministerien und erhielt 1912 den Kronenorden 1. Klasse für die Durchführung des 1910 erlassenen Reichsgesetzes über den Absatz von Kalisalzen, das Kaliwerke staatlicherseits zur Mitgliedschaft im Kalisyndikat zwang. 1917 schied er aus dem Staatsdienst aus und wurde Aufsichtsratvorsitzender des Kalisyndikats.

Oil on painter's cardboard, monogrammed and dated "AvW 1906" at the bottom left. Half-length portrait, wearing a tailcoat with a white shirt, bow tie and red waistcoat. The breast star as Grand officier of the French Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur pinned to his left breast. Slightly scratched. In a beautiful plaster frame with matte and polished gilding (minor imperfections), the plaster ornament in the top, right-hand corner slightly damaged (loose). Size of the painting 31.5 x 24 cm, size of the frame 43 x 35 x 7 cm. The painter's cardboard with a handwritten note "Unterstaatssekretär Dr. Richter" on the back, a typewritten label with this information plus Anton von Werner's dates of birth and death. Dr. Max Richter (1856 - 1921) was Under-Secretary of State in the Reich Ministry of the Interior. In 1879, he received his doctorate in law in Königsberg, then worked at the Reichsamt des Innern from 1891 and was sent as Reichskommissar to the World Expositions in Chicago and Paris in 1892 and 1900. For many years, Dr. Richter advised the ministries on matters relating to potash. In 1912, he was awarded the Order of the Crown 1st Class for implementing the Reich law on the sale of potash salt, which was adopted in 1910, forcing potash mines to become members of the state-sanctioned Potash Syndicate. In 1917, he retired from public service and was appointed chairman of the supervisory board of the Potash Syndicate.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
