L’ouvrage est une synthèse détaillée des comptes du royaume d’Italie, pour les années 1805 et 1806, des documents fort utiles pour Joseph de Beauharnais, désigné vice-roi d’Italie par Napoléon le 7 juin 1805, une charge qu’il occupera jusqu’en avril 1814.
La bibliothèque du vice-roi comportait plusieurs volumes, pour d’autres années, qui étaient reliés à l’identique de celui-ci. La Real biblioteca de Madrid en conserve ainsi un exemplaire, passé ensuite dans la collection de Ferdinand VII (PR. Real Biblioteca IV/2568 Olim: IV-L-2; INF-H-4). Le décor de la reliure, aussi bien dans le choix des couleurs que le double encadrement, évoque la composition du drapeau du royaume d’Italie.
In-4 (330 x 241 mm). Édition originale. Rousseurs éparses, en particulier aux cahiers 23 et 26.
Reliure de l’époque : maroquin rouge à long grain, armes d’Eugène de Beauharnais roi d’Italie au centre des plats (OHR, pl . 2671, fer n°1), posées sur un semis d’étoiles et dans un encadrement en losange, plats encadrés de dentelles aux petits fers et d’un double encadrement en rectangle et losange de maroquin vert à long grain mosaïqué, et orné de fers et de roulettes, dos à doubles-nerfs, caissons ornés d’étoiles, d’anneaux, de pointillés et de grecques, entrenerfs, pièces de titre et de tomaison en maroquin vert, gardes de tabis bleu, encadrement de maroquin rouge, tranches dorées (dos légèrement passé, quelques frottements aux coins).
Provenance : Eugène de Beauharnais (reliure aux armes ; sa vente, II, Milan, 1935, lot n°57) – Alexis de Redé ( ex-libris). Une description dactylographiée du volume est contrecollée sur le premier feuillet blanc.
Eugène de Beauharnais' personal copy of this account of the Finances of the Kingdom of Italy for years 1805 and 1806. Eugène was Viceroy of the Kingdom of Italy under his stepfather, from 1805 to 1814. His vast library included several similar volumes, uniformly bound with his arms.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
