Bemalte Büste einer Frau mit Perücke. Das plastisch ausgearbeitete Gesicht und die Perücke auf flachen Brettern mit Holznägeln montiert, mit Modelliermasse überzogen und bemalt. Auf der Rückseite am Rand Leisten mit Holznägeln montiert. Weißgrundige Bemalung. Pupillen, Lider und Augenbrauen des Gesichts schwarz. Die Perücke mit komplexem Streifendekor in Längs- und Querstreifen in roter und schwarzer Farbe. Rund um das Gesicht himmelblauer Untergrund. Diverse Risse auf der Oberfläche. Auf der Rückseite modern zwei Schrauben mit Draht zum Befestigen der Büste an der Wand montiert. Höhe 49 cm.
Provenienz: Niedersächsischer Privatbesitz, übernommen aus der Sammlung des Vaters, von diesem erworben in den 60er und 70er Jahren.

Painted bust of a woman with a wig. The sculpted, lifelike face and the wig mounted on flat boards with wooden nails, covered with modelling clay and painted. Mouldings mounted on the edge of the back with wooden nails. White-primed painting. The pupils, eyelids and eyebrows in black. The wig with elaborate, vertical and horizontal ornamental stripes, painted red and black. A background of sky blue around the face. Various cracks on the surface. On the back, two modern screws with wire for attaching the bust to the wall. Height 49 cm.
Provenance: Private Lower Saxon collection, inherited from the consignor's father, who purchased the items during the 1960s and 1970s.
