Limited edition of 17 wood engravings originally commissioned for Thornton’s Virgil (1821), printed from Blake’s original blocks in the British Museum. This is number 100 of 135 sets intended for sale from a total edition of 150.



17 wood engravings (each approx.. 75 x 35mm) on Japanese Hosho paper (each sheet approx.. 150 x 120mm), loose as issued in card folders printed with text and a number, housed in original brown cloth box, morocco labels to spine and upper cover lettered in gilt, numbered in ink on a printed label on inside cover, together with accompanying 36pp. booklet, folio (300 x 195mm), in original printed wrappers.
