Tibet. 16./17. Century

Bronze with fire-gilding, in the face cold-gilded, and pigments. Stone trim. Sitting in the vajra Position on a double Lotus, both hands in dharmachakra mudra, the Stems of the Lotus flowers and hold to sides of the shoulders. The figure is equipped with an especially rich jewelry and wears a five-leaved crown. The Gewandsäume and the crown, as well as the leaves of the Lotus are delicately engraved. The stuffed Lotus throne is closed, the Doppelvajra engraved on the shutter plate is particularly fine.

In the case of a radiological investigation, it was found that the Base is filled with smaller rounded forms, which are possibly to grain, probably to gesture. These are embedded in cotton wool, or fibers. Height 20.5 cm. Condition A/B.
