Fein gearbeitete Bronze-Statuette der auf einem Felsen sitzenden Artemis in kurzem Jagdgewand, das über die linke Brust hinabrutscht und diese entblößt. Die Göttin trägt hochgeschnürte Sandalen und einen Köcher auf dem Rücken. Der linke Arm ist auf einen Felsvorsprung abgestützt. Gesockelt. Rechter Arm fehlt, sonst von hervorragender Qualität. Maße 9 x 8 cm.
Provenienz: Französische Privatsammlung, erworben am 16. Dezember 2008 bei Gorny und Mosch. Davor in amerikanischem Privatbesitz. Mit französischem Antikenpass.
Finely worked bronze statuette of Artemis seated on a rock in a short hunting dress, off her left breast, uncovering it. The goddess wears high lace up sandals and a quiver at the back. The left arm resting on a ledge. Mounted. The right arm missing, else of excellent quality.
Provenance: French private collection, acquired on 16 December 2008 at Gorny und Mosch. Prior in an American private collection. Accompanied by a French antiquities passport.
