A Roman bronze Mercury statuette, 2nd century A.D.
Finely and detailed cast bronze statuette of Mercury. The god like a classical Greek statue in ideal-typical nudity, only a cloak falls wrinkled over his left shoulder. In addition typical attributes like winged cap and winged shoes. Beautiful patina. Intact. Length 10.5 cm, on base 11.5 cm.

Fein und detailreich gearbeitete Bronzestatuette des Merkur. Der Gott wie eine klassische griechische Statue in idealtypischer Nacktheit, nur ein Mantel fällt faltenreich über die linke Schulter. Dazu typische Attribute wie geflügelte Kappe und Flügelschuhe. Schöne Patina. Intakt. Länge 10,5 cm, mit Sockel 11,5 cm.
