Reich reliefiertes, versilbertes Mützenblech mit Ornamenten des 18. Jhdts., darin der preußische Adler und das Semper-Talis-Bandeau. Schön erhaltener roter Tuchbeutel mit silbernen Tressen. Versilberte, lederunterlegte Schuppenketten an Knopf 91. Außergewöhnlich feines ockerfarbenes Seidenfutter (kleine Risse), ockerfarbenes Lederschweißband (getragen, fleckig), hinten Sitzspuren der ehemals aufgelegten Fraktur-Chiffre "CE" unter Krone. Oben eingesteckter Pompon aus silbernen Kantillen. Metall gedunkelt, vereinzelt minimale Fehlstellen, eine Naht im Inneren an Versteifungsstab stellenweise offen, partiell leicht beschädigt, Trage- und Altersspuren.
Ab dem 1.10.1904 gehörte Carl Eduard Herzog von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (1884 - 1954) vier Monate lang dem 1. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß an, um den Dienstgrad eines Leutnants zu erlangen. In der Ehrenrangliste 1914 - 1918 erscheint er à la suite bei diesem Regiment (S. 109). Chef war der preußische König und innerhalb der Armee nahm die Einheit den höchsten Rang ein. Außergewöhnlich seltene und gut erhaltene Kopfbedeckung eines Elite-Regiments der preußischen Infanterie von namhaftem Träger.

Silver-plated front panel with lavish relief decoration and 18th century ornaments, including the Prussian eagle and Semper Talis banner. Well-preserved red cloth bag with silver braid. Silver-plated chinscales with leather underlay, attached to M 91 side post lugs. Unusually fine, ochre-coloured silk lining (small tears), ochre-coloured leather sweatband (worn, stained). Outlines of the original, appliquéd cipher "CE" in Gothic script below a crown at the back. Pompon of silver bullion fringes inserted on top. The metal tarnished, occasional minor defects, one internal seam has come apart in places along the reinforcement rod. Slight damage here and there, signs of age and wear.
From 1 October 1904, Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1884 - 1954) joined the 1st Guard Regiment on foot for four months to acquire the rank of Leutnant. He appears à la suite with this regiment in the 1914 - 1918 honour's list (p. 109). The commander was the Prussian king and the unit held the highest rank within the army. Unusually rare and well-preserved cap, worn by a well-known personage in the elite regiment of the Prussian infantry.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
