Chryselephantin flower girl equipped in the manner of Ferdinand Preiss, circa 1910, unsigned, cast metal cold painted in silver and Blue, ivory finely carved, elegant young lady as a Ballerina in a ruffled dress and corkscrew curls, in a sublime Pose a flower bouquet in one Arm, supporting, on octagonal faceted base, on a pale green onyx base with beautiful grain mounted, head glued, otherwise very well preserved, H sculpture, approx. 13 cm, H total approx 17.5 cm. Artist info: Johann Philipp Ferdinand Preiss (Erbach 1882 to 1943, Berlin), significantly dt. Sculptor u. ivory Carver, a student of Phillipp man wants, study tours n. Milan, Rome & Paris, active in Berlin, where the establishment of the eig. Company Preiss Kassler, the collection initially consisted of small sculptures made of ivory, including statuettes of Children and sculptures, created from 1910 onwards the first carvings which Combined Bronze with ivory.
