Vibrant hommage à la corrida : version de travail très remaniée, écrite lors du premier séjour de Cocteau en Espagne.

Cocteau fait son premier voyage en Espagne en juillet 1953, pendant lequel il rédige le présent manuscrit. De ce séjour, lui resteront deux passions : le flamenco et la corrida. Il rend ici un superbe hommage au matador Manolete (1917-1947), fondateur de la corrida moderne en ce qu'il recherchait la position idéale et un certain esthétisme. Il mourut à trente ans dans l'arène ; Cocteau célèbre ici ce prodige de la corrida, soulignant toute la dimension tragique et sexuelle de la discipline. Si les premiers et les derniers vers sont exempts de rature, on compte plus d'une dizaine de version pour un seul vers :

L'Hommage à Manolete fut publié en recueil dans La Corrida du 1er mai, paru en 1957 aux éditions Grasset. On connaît plusieurs manuscrits préparatoires de ce poème, celui-ci correspondant à la deuxième version, particulièrement remaniée par l'auteur.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
