Am Rahmen vergoldete Ranken, links bezeichnet "1 of 1000", die Trommel mit vergoldetem Dekor und einer Abbildung des jungen Samuel Colt als Schiffsjunge auf der Brigg "Corvo" sowie einer Abbildung des erwachsenen Col. Colt. Vollständige, originale Brünierung, der Hahn seitlich blank. Schwarze Kunststoffgriffschalen mit Rampant Colt im Oval sowie dem American Eagle. Präsentiert in der leicht bestoßenen originalen Holzschatulle, oben am Deckel mit Plakette, auf dieser Colt vor seiner Villa "Armsmear" mit Garten und Teich sowie der Colt-Fabrik. Dazu ein, in einem Formalinblock eingegossener, rostiger Nagel, daneben bezeichnet "Removed from Colt Armorers' Residences during 1981 Restoration, Hartfort, Conn. ca. 1850". Außerdem eine kalibergleiche Wechseltrommel.

Cal. .44-40WCF, SN. SA60098, matching numbers. Mirror-like bore, barrel length 190 mm. Six shots. On the left side of the barrel the logo "God created man... Col. Colt made them equal" within a golden scroll, on the right side, also within a golden scroll, "Colt Single Action Army .44-40 Cal.". The top of the barrel with single-line Hartford address. The frame decorated with gilt scrolling foliage, on the left "1 of 1000", the cylinder with gilt ornaments, a depiction of Samuel Colt as a cabin boy on the brig "Corvo" and as Col. Colt. Complete, original finish, the sides of the hammer white. Black plastic grips with Rampant Colt within an oval and American Eagle. Including the slightly bumped original oak case, the lid with a brass plaque depicting Colt in the centre, surrounded by his mansion "Armsmear" with garden, pond, and the Colt factory. With a rusty nail set in a formalin block, featuring the inscription "Removed from Colt Armorers' Residences during 1981 Restoration, Hartfort, Conn. ca. 1850". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
