Édition originale de ce monumental panorama gravé de l'impérialisme culturel napoléonien. L'ouvrage ayant paru en livraisons, les souscripteurs peuvent composer à l'envie leur volume et, ainsi, leur "parcours de visite" dans ce Musée français.
Le présent exemplaire était à l'origine orné d'aigles impériales aux angles et probablement au centre des plats, qui ont été remplacées, certainement à la Restauration, par des lys et les armes de France. Cohen de Ricci, col. 743; Vicaire ,V, 1229 ; Brunet, IV, col. 1335. Vicaire, Cohen et Brunet donnent des collations différentes (respectivement 346, 344 et 344 planches).
4 vol. in-folio (615 x 452 mm). Tirage limité à 600 exemplaires, parus en livraisons. Vignettes de titre, 8 vignettes gravées et 345 planches gravées (brunissures et piqûres éparses, déchirure restaurée à la première planche et à celle de "Renaud et Armide"). Reliure de l'époque par Bradel l'Aîné en maroquin rouge (avec son étiquette), aux armes royales de France au centre des plats semés de lys, encadrement de palmettes avec lys aux angles, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés d'un décor de croisillons, aux alvéoles peuplées d'abeilles, d'aigles impériales et d'étoiles, non rogné. Provenance : ex-libris de Rudolf von Gutmann (1880-1966 ; Sotheby's Londres, 2 avril 1993, lot n°29).

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
