Exposée dans les plus grandes institutions du monde, Cui Xiuwen a participé à de nombreuses expositions à la Tate Modern de Londres, au Centre Pompidou à Paris, au MoMA de New York, à Shanghai et plus largement en Asie, au Canada, en Israël et en Belgique. Elle fait également partie des premiers artistes chinois à avoir intégré les collections de la Tate Modern de Londres. Elle a reçu en 2010 le prix de l’artiste la plus Influente de l’année, délivré lors des Awards Art China. Deux ans auparavant, Cui Xiuwen a été récompensée du Global Chinese Female Artist Biennial Award par la Wu Zuoren International Fine Arts Foundation. Son travail porte principalement sur l’analyse de la sexualité et de la spiritualité humaines, tout en insistant sur la condition de la femme en Chine, ou encore des thèmes liés à l’adolescence, à l’identité et à la condition mortelle de l’homme.

‌Exhibited in the world's major art institutions, Cui Xiuwen has participated in numerous exhibitions at the Tate Modern in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the MoMA in New York, Shanghai and more widely in Asia, Canada, Israel and Belgium. She is also one of the first Chinese artists to be included in the collections of the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London. In 2010, she received the award for the most influential artist of the year at the Art China Awards. Two years earlier, Cui Xiuwen was awarded the Global Chinese Female Artist Biennial Award by the Wu Zuoren International Fine Arts Foundation.
Her work focuses on the analysis of human sexuality and spirituality, with an emphasis on the status of women in China, as well as themes related to adolescence, identity and the mortal condition of man.
