A set of Charles de Gaulle’s memoirs and writings, presented by the French president to Anthony Eden. The 3-volume set Mémoires de Guerre is printed on thick ‘alfa Cellunaf’ paper, ‘réservés aux anciens de la France Libre et aux membres des associations combattantes et résistantes de la guerre 1939-1945’.



9 volumes, octavo (228 x 145mm), all bound in original printed paper wrappers, mostly uncut (ring mark on upper cover of vol. I of Mémoires, some light soiling and a few insignificant nicks, otherwise in very good condition), comprising: Mémoires de Guerre. Paris: Plon, 1954. 3 volumes, thick paper copy printed on ‘alfa Cellunaf’. Provenance: Charles de Gaulle (authorial presentation inscriptions, to:) – Anthony Eden. [Together with:] – another later impression of vol. I with authorial presentation inscription. [And with:] – Mémoires d'espoir. Paris: Plon, [1970]. 2 volumes in glassine dustjackets. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
