Fifth and sixth parts of the first edition of the series of volumes investigating the nature of the state of New York, a research undertaken in 1836 by the New York State Museum, which deals with mollusks and crustaceans in the area.

2 parts in one volume, folio (289 x 230mm). Title with fine woodcut arms, 40 hand-colored plates of mollusks (two browned), 13 hand-colored plates of crustaceans (one browned, very light spotting, browning and scattered stains). Contemporary canvas with arabesques in bas-relief on the front and rear cover, large golden shell in the center, gilt title on spine (lightly rubbed). Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
