Oil on canvas, with old doubling. Vulcan, the Roman god of metalworking, in the foreground, his assistants at the anvil, illuminated by the light of the furnace. Craquelures on the surface. In a partially gilt, somewhat knocked, moulded frame. Size of the picture 133 x 113 cm, framed 149 x 131 cm.
Luca Giordano (* 1634 in Naples; † 1705 ibid.), known as "Fa Presto", was an Italian painter and etcher in the baroque period, who was particularly famous for his frescoes.
Provenance: Collection of Marie-Caroline de Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, duchesse de Berry. Thereafter in the collection of Count Lucchesi-Palli.

Öl auf Leinwand, alt doubliert. Im Vordergrund der römische Gott der Schmiedekunst Vulcanus mit seinen Gehilfen am Amboss, vom Licht der Esse beleuchtet. Oberfläche krakeliert. In teils vergoldetem, etwas bestoßenem Profilrahmen. Bildmaße 133 x 113 cm, Maße gerahmt 149 x 131 cm.
Luca Giordano (1634 in Neapel - 1705 ebenda), genannt "Fa Presto", war ein italienischer Maler und Radierer des Barock, der vor allem für seine Fresken berühmt war.
Provenienz: Sammlung von Marie-Caroline von Bourbon, Königreich beider Sizilien, Herzogin von Berry. Später Slg. Graf Lucchesi-Palli.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
