Exemplaire en maroquin rouge de l'époque, aux armes et chiffre du Président de Thou et de sa première épouse. La reliure combine les armes simples de Jacques-Auguste de Thou, qu’il utilise jusqu’en 1587, date à laquelle il épouse Marie de Barbançon-Cany, et le chiffre commun du couple.

4 parties en 1 vol. in-4 (362 x 222 mm). Marque de l’imprimeur à la nef sur les quatre pages de titre. 1 grand bois au feuillet α6v, répété au feuillets γ8v et QQQ1v, arbres généalogiques gravés sur les feuillets LL2 r et LL3v.
Reliure de l’époque en maroquin rouge, armes dorées de Jacques-Auguste de Thou (OHR, pl. 216, fer 1) au centre des plats , triple filet doré en encadrement, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés du chiffre de de Thou et de sa première épouse, Marie de Barbançon-Cany (OHR, pl. 216, fer 6), tranches dorées. Provenance : reliure aux armes de Jacques-Auguste de Thou (1553-1617) – [François-Auguste de Thou (1604-1642), son fils, qui hérite de sa bibliothèque -- Jacques-Auguste II de Thou (1609-1677), frère cadet et héritier de ce dernier en 1642].
