Concerning his absence at the committee meeting owing to illness. Apologetically opening the present letter, ‘I regret not having been able to attend the first meeting of the committee responsible for the programme arrangements in connexion with the forthcoming Poetry Recital. I was ill in hospital’. Continuing, he confirms his attendance at the future meeting, ‘I shall, however, manage to be present at the meeting at Mr Kilham Roberts’ flat at 2.45pm Thursday March 28’.

The present letter relates to one of the committee meetings for ‘A Recital of Poetry of the Past and Present’, hosted by the Society of Authors on 14 May 1946 at Wigmore Hall in London.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
