Vollplastische Figuren aus Lindenholz mit angesetzten Armen und Körben. Darstellung zweier exotischer Männerfiguren mit Lendenschürzen aus Federn. Auf den Köpfen jeweils ein fein geschnitzter Korb mit Rocaillendekor, darin Blüten, Trauben und Kakaofrüchte. Auf felsenförmig gearbeiteten Plinthen. Die Körbe stellenweise bestoßen und mit kleinen Defekten, eine größere Fehlstelle auf der Rückseite eines Korbes. Höhe 36 und 39 cm.
Seltene Darstellung amerikanischer Ureinwohner nach der damaligen barocken Vorstellungswelt.

Three-dimensional figures of limewood with attached arms and baskets. Depiction of two exotic male figures with loincloths of feathers. On each head a finely carved basket decorated with rocailles, filled with blossoms, grapes and cocoa fruits. On rock-shaped plinths. The baskets knocked in places and with minor defects, one major flaw on the reverse of one basket. Heights 36 and 39 cm.
Rare depiction of Native Americans as imagined during the Baroque age.
