Superbe exemplaire de cette édition, bien complet de toutes ses planches, enrichi d’un portrait gravé et colorié de Fénelon, dans un exquis maroquin du temps. Cohen – de Ricci, col. 384-386 : "Belle édition faite pour contenir la suite des figures de Monnet et Tilliard".

2 vol. grand in-4 (334 x 236 mm). Au total 1 titre frontispice gravé par Montulay, portant Les Aventures de Télémaque, fils d’Ulysse, gravées d’après les desseins de Charles Monnet, peintre du Roy, par Jean-Baptiste Tilliard. Paris : chez l’auteur, 1773 ; 72 planches à pleine page gravées par Tilliard d’après Monnet, et 24 encadrements et culs-de-lampe introduisant chaque livre (rousseurs et brunissures éparses ; t. I : piqûres avec manque en marge de la planche introduisant le livre IV). Exemplaire enrichi, monté sur un feuillet en tête du t. I, d’un portrait de Fénelon gravé à la manière noire et mis en couleurs. Reliure de l’époque : maroquin rouge à long grain, riche encadrement de pampres, d’étoiles et de filets dorés sur les plats, dos à faux-nerfs et caissons richement ornés, gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées. Provenance : en regard du portrait de Fénelon, ex-libris gravé de Daniel Zierer.
