Am felsigen Ufer im schützenden Dunkel der Bäume stehendes Reh. Stimmungsvolle, in vorwiegend tonigem Kolorit mit spannungsreichen Hell-Dunkel-Kontrasten angelegte, symbolistische Landschaft von 1902, die Einflüsse von Anselm Feuerbach und Arnold Böcklin zeigt. Keller studierte 1862-1863 an der Kunstschule Karlsruhe bei Johann Wilhelm Schirmer, dem damaligen Direktor der Kunstakademie und Ludwig des Coudres. Danach nahm er seit 1864 Privatunterricht im Atelier von Hans Canon. 1866 folgten Studienreisen in die Schweiz und nach Frankreich; 1867-1869 lebte Keller in Rom, wo er Bekanntschaft mit Anselm Feuerbach machte, der sein Atelier im selben Haus hatte und ihn längerer Zeit prägte. 1870 wurde Ferdinand Keller als Lehrer für Porträt- und Historienmalerei an die Kunstakademie Karlsruhe berufen, 1873 zum Professor ernannt, 1880-1913 war er Direktor der Kunstakademie. Zum Entstehungszeitpunkt des vorliegenden Werkes stand Keller auf dem Zenith seiner Karrirere: 1901 zeigt er insgesamt 10 Gemälde auf der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung. Zur gleichen Zeit schuf Keller überdies 1901/02 "Böcklins Grab" (in der Staatl. Kunsthalle Karlsruhe). Öl/Lwd.; L. o. monogr. und dat. 1902; 100,5 cm x 80,5 cm. Rahmen.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
