Fidus, "daughter of the artist" in a pine forest on a trunk leaning girl, Heliogravure, circa 1910, the rear side in the lead-referred to as "Fidus: daughter of the artist (H33)" and the stamp "Verlag St. Georgs-Federal Woltersdorf in Erkner-Berlin", minimal age traces, Depicting the transducer factor of approximately 27.8 x 19.5 cm, sheet dimension is approximately 39.5 x 29.7 cm. Artist info: actually, Hugo Reinhold Karl Johann Höppener, dt. Painter, draughtsman, Illustrator, architect and book artist (1868 Lübeck up to 1948 in Woltersdorf), the students of vocational school in lübeck, studied in 1887, called briefly at the Academy of Munich, then a student and Disciple of the painter and nature Apostle of Karl Wilhelm Diefenbach (1851-1913) in Höllriegelskreuth, in veneration of his teacher, “Fidus (dt.: The Faithful)”, was one of around 1900 to the most famous artists of Germany and one of the "fathers of the dt. Art Nouveau", among other things, employees of the Munich-based magazines "Jugend" and “Simplicissimus”, as well as of the Berlin journal “Pan”, and in 1943 was appointed Professor h. C., active in Berlin, Munich, Monte Verita and Wolter village-beautiful views, source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Dressler, student of the Munich Academy, Wikipedia, and the Internet.
