Exemplaire sur vélin de cet "ouvrage capital de l'artiste Auguste Leroux. Ses remarquables illustrations sont gravées sur bois avec un art consommé. Un livre de cette qualité dans une bibliothèque fait pâlir bien d'audacieuses productions modernes", affirme Carteret, que l'on a connu moins emphatique (Illustrés, IV, p.170). Tirage à 410 exemplaires sur vélin, numérotés en chiffres arabes, et 34 de présent en chiffres romains, celui-ci le n° 285. 176 compositions gravées sur bois d'après Auguste Leroux (quelques rousseurs). Prospectus relié in fine (8 pp.). Reliure de Salvador David, datée 1913 : maroquin terracotta, gardes de papier marbré, tête dorée sur témoins, couverture et dos conservés (cuir passé, quelques frottements).

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
