Amélie (1812 Mailand - 1873 Lissabon) war die dritte Tochter von Eugène und Auguste Amalie von Leuchtenberg. Sie wuchs nach der Flucht der Familie aus Italien mit ihren Geschwistern in München, Eichstätt und Ismaning auf. Die verwitwete Auguste Amalie zögerte, ihre Tochter dem brasilianischen Kaiser Dom Pedro I. (1798 Queluz, Portugal - 1834 ebenda) als Frau zu geben. Der Ruf des Kaisers war kein guter, die Todesumstände seiner ersten Gemahlin, der Erzherzogin Maria Leopoldine, waren Stoff für Spekulation. Zudem hatte er für mehrere unmündige, sowohl eheliche wie außereheliche Kinder zu sorgen. Die langen Verhandlungen für einen Ehevertrag wurden im Geheimen geführt. 1829 erfolgte dann die Vermählung, am 2. August per procurationem in der Kapelle des Leuchtenberg-Palais in München, am 17. Oktober wurde in Rio de Janeiro die kirchliche Hochzeit gefeiert. Die Braut gründete mit dem Betrag von 40.000 Gulden, den ihr zukünftiger Mann ihr für die Hochzeitsfeierlichkeiten in München zur Verfügung gestellt hatte, die brasilianische Aussteuerstiftung für Waisenmädchen. Die sog. Brasilianische Stiftung existiert bis heute und gewährt bedürftigen Mädchen Ausbildungshilfen.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
