Watercolour and opaque paints on ivory. Image size: 4.8 x 3.9 cm (in the high oval) cm.
The miniature is set in a monument-like structure made of partially gilt brass and gilt silver. The field of the rear cartouche is inscribed "St Ferdinand 30 Mai 1902"). Mounted on a base covered with lapis lazuli plates. Original folding case by Froment-Meurice, Paris, 46 Rue dAnjou, with protective cover made of leather-lined linen.
