Rare exemplaire sur Hollande, en premier tirage. Chef d'oeuvre psychologique, ce drame autobiographique est dédié à George Sand, chez qui l'auteur avait séjourné à l'été 1862, apportant quelques modifications au texte paru en feuilleton entre avril et mai 1862 dans La Revue des deux mondes. Unique roman du peintre et historien de l'art Eugène Fromentin, Roland Barthes considère que l'oeuvre est "deux fois solitaire, puisque c’est le seul roman écrit par son auteur, et que cet auteur n’était même pas écrivain, mais plutôt peintre". Il s'agit d'un exemplaire de premier tirage, avec la faute à la page 177 : "il sera pédant et en sueur" au lieu de "il sera pédant et censeur". In-8 (221 x 138 mm). Édition originale. Un des rares exemplaires réimposés sur Hollande au format in-8, seul grand papier. Reliure signée de H. Blanchetière : maroquin bleu, encadrement de filets et fers dorés, dos à nerfs orné de filets et petits fers dorés, doublures de veau bordeaux à semis de fers dorés dans un réseau de losanges, tête dorée, couverture bleue conservée.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
