Further details
This green field overlooks the bay of Veryac' h, near Camaret-sur-Mer. The orange cliffs, green fields, blue sky and slate-coloured sea make this work a highly synthesised work, very much in line with Gauguin's and Sérusier's style. The desolate, grandiose nature lends itself to this masterful simplification, with clean lines and colours heightened by several shades to better convey the artist's feeling and make his emotion more sensitive.
